Rehorik Indonesien Blue Flores Bajawa BIO

Manufacturer product description

The Blue Flores Bajawa comes from the island of Flores, the largest island in the Sunda archipelago. Small farmers of the Bajawa people grow it there. Coffee cultivation is one of the main sources of income for the 100,000 indigenous people. In order to better exploit the economic potential of their premium coffee, the Bajawa have founded a cooperative. Volcanic weathered soils and the humid sea climate, combined with temperature-stable altitudes of 1,500 to 1,600 metres, offer ideal growing conditions for excellent coffee. Shade trees protect it from too intensive sunlight and wind. It grows purely organically in these areas, which are among the highest growing areas in Indonesia. That's a great coffee! The aroma reminds of coniferous forests, fresh resin with earthy tones. Master roaster Heiko Rehorik personally visited the coffee farmers of the Bajawa people in 2012.
