Ka`u is the southernmost district of the great island of Hawaii (Moku), located southeast of Kona. One of the world's largest active volcanoes (4,170 m), one of the best coffees in the world at altitudes of 800 to 1,200 m, which has performed significantly better in numerous blind tastings in recent years than the top coffee from Kona, which has been marketed very successfully for 150 years, has been growing on very nutritious, young volcanic soil at the foot of the Mona Loa for around 50 years. Vee`s Ka`u Reserve - Paradise Mountain - is fertilized exclusively organically. As a result, the coffee develops original fruity aromas with very little acidity. And by mixing the Arabica-Typica and Arabica-Bourbon-Caturra varieties, coffee in the cup develops an extremely balanced complexity. The coffee has fruity aromas of apricots, plums and raspberries with hints of hazelnuts, cocoa and chocolate.
