Jura ENA Micro 9 piston no longer lowers

Posted by: Toetens June 06, 2023 08:44 pm

Hello community, I turn to you because I no longer know what to do and hope you can help me.

Since the machine is already from 2014 I wanted to replace the brew group with a refurbished brew group. No sooner said than done. Have the brew group already revised several times insofar I know the processes actually quite well.

Now I have inserted the new brew group and wanted to start. The piston still goes to the top and then there is a terrible noise. The piston also no longer goes down.

Have then reinstalled the old group and there is exactly the same error.

Now we sit here coffee-wise on the dry.

I hope someone knows advice. If a video helps, I can also upload one.

Thanks in advance for your help

Hello, before you install the brewing unit in a Jura, you should check manually whether the brewing unit also moves to all positions. To do this, turn the white gear.
If the brewing piston is out of the brewing cylinder, the brewing unit has been incorrectly assembled.
There is certainly also the case of "returns", where the pawls are worn.

Now I put the new brew group in and wanted to start. The piston still goes all the way up and then there is a horrible noise. The piston also does not go down anymore.
Then I put the old group back in and there is exactly the same error.

This suggests but rather a faulty assembly in the area of the drive motor
, or a defective drive motor.

Yes, this could well be off, gear from the motor to rack defective.
Either age weak and or brewing unit too stiff.
