Both in the endowment test test grade 2,0.
Espresso and cappuccino seem to be better for Melitta.

I don't think you can say that in general.
Both manufacturers are good and have their advantages.

Fully automatic coffee machines can make small and large coffees. If you're expecting Italian espresso, you'll be disappointed.
Both machines are robust and do what they're supposed to do, although I'd tend towards Melitta. Brew group for cleaning removable, at DeLonghi only the half.
Online the prices are better, right, but you get then mostly no factory warranty. Also you don't have a contact person if something is wrong and who wants to do without his coffee for 2-3 weeks already
