NICR 745 intermitten dumping of grounds

The machine grinds, compresses, starts the pump for a moment, then stops and chucks the grounds into the tray. No error on the screen and if i press the button again, it usually brews the next cycle just fine. But not always, sometimes the interruption happens multiple times in a row.
