Melitta cafeo Solo, water in recovery tank

Hello everyone,
I bought a melitta cafeo solo second hand....
I've noticed that when I'm not using it, I lose water from my tank.... not a lot but in a few hours half of it can be emptied.....and this water ends up in the recovery tank.
What can I do?
