Hello should the machine unexpectedly deliver no hot milk foam, I would return it.
To the coffee beans: It's just a matter of taste, even a small assortment of small roasters could help you to find the right bean for your palate.
Recommend Robusta and Arabica beans.

MfG Chris

Hello,

Coffee and milk foam must be hot, just for hygienic reasons. It is always said that the machine should deliver 70°C, rather more.

Coffee varieties:
Check the surrounding area for small coffee roasters and ask if they offer such tasting sets.
Then simply try your way through them and choose the variety that tastes best to you - coffee is a pleasure and therefore a matter of taste.

Alternatively, there are enough roasters, which send also by Internet.

>My tip (or better personal preference): do not take blends but pure coffee, which taste clearly more intensive.

But hot is a double-edged term. This also includes basic knowledge of coffee preparation. Espresso machines brew with 92-94° C hot water. Provided the brewing group and strainer carrier are properly warmed up, this will also arrive in the cup. If it is also pre-warmed, the espresso is hot.

In the KVA, the ways are longer, the brewing group cold, the cups mostly not pre-warmed, etc.
you hopefully see the difference. Boiler temperature should also be at 88 - 92°C.

Foaming milk: Take a jug in your hand, turn on the steam nozzle until you have a full dry steam, then pull the foam until you have a creamy mass. This is called milk foam, in contrast to what some waste incineration plants produce. You should just be able to touch the jug at approx. 56 - 60° C.

When the milk gets hotter, the protein coagulates, which is then building foam

If the drinks aren't really hot, so just so lukewarm, I would bring the machine back even if all settings are already controlled. wink.gif

Hot is relative.

For most people everything >60°C, because you can't touch it any more/Eat/Drink
