Maragogype, or the elephant bean, is the largest coffee bean in the world. Traditionally, the coffee is roasted slowly and lightly, emphasising its soft, rinse properties. It is mainly produced in Brazil, Nicaragua and Mexico.
Taste
The extract has a soft and fresh-rinse taste. A bit greenish and spicy with a hint of sisal. This coffee bean contains relatively little caffeine.
Origin
The Maragogype is cultivated in the south of Mexico in the high mountains on the border of Guatemala.
Setting method
This coffee is especially suitable as filter and café coffee, < 1% caffeine.
