Die Rösterei Equador Vilcabamba Tal der Hundertjährigen, 500 g

Manufacturer product description

Ecuador- Vilcabamba High Mountain Grown From the Valley of the Centenarians In the south of Ecuador you find the small village Vilcabamba in an idyllic high valley at an altitude of over 1500 meters, surrounded by mighty mountains. In the language of the Incas, the name means "The Holy Valley." Nowhere else in the western world do so many people live to be well over 100 years old. Here the 85 year old still play daily volleyball against the 70 year old (no joke!) Coffee growing has a long tradition here. One of South America's most valuable coffees is grown on the mountain slopes - centennial coffee. It is quite normal that a 70-80 or 90 year old goes up to 1600 m in the morning with his donkey to spend the day there with coffee picking and to return to the valley in the evening with a fully packed donkey. You can imagine that this means that only a small amount of coffee comes onto the market. As only a small amount of this unique coffee is available, the harvests have almost been bought up over the years. We have managed to buy a small quantity cheaply and so we can now exceptionally offer the, otherwise usually with at least 40-48 € the kg traded black gold at a very cheap price. Freshly roasted and infused, the Vilcabamba impresses with its fresh, slightly fruity note, which then slowly fades away in a long-lasting, soft yet intense coffee aroma.
