Hawaii Kona is a very special coffee, its typical feature is the special microclimate of the Hawaiian archipelago. The plant grows on volcanic soil, which brings a light mineral touch to the cup. Volcanic soils provide very good moisture supply and the fine, elegant acids and the large body of this top product are outstanding. For a long time you will feel the chocolaty finish in your mouth to taste a coffee like Jamaica Blue Mountaine unmistakably and soort out of many coffees. Unfortunately, the small insect pest of the coffee cherry pit drill is currently raging on the archipelago! It is the horror of all coffee farmers and it has already destroyed large parts of the harvest last year and thus the quantity on the world market is strongly limited. Many coffee growing areas had to be grubbed up and then burnt, so it will take at least 4 years for the harvest quantities to return to normal levels.
