When the monsoon unloads its rain load, the city of Mangalore produces a very special coffee: "monsoon coffee", which is still hardly known among gourmets. The traditional procedure of "monsooning" is carried out in Malabar, a region on the west coast of India north of the city of Cochin. The aroma is slightly caramel-like and nutty. The special acidity is velvety soft and only subtly noticeable, while the body appears broad.
