This Indian Arabica takes its name from its special form of preparation. During the months of overseas transport, this coffee was exposed to the monsoon climate on the ships for a long time. Through contact with monsoon rain and salt water, the bean took on a particularly light colouring and its typical aroma, which made it unmistakable. Today, coffee is deliberately exposed to the monsoon climate during monsooning. It absorbs moisture and develops the particularly strong and low acid taste of the Malabar region.
