The Australian Skybury offers a little less fullness, but is all the more harmonious and naturally low in acidity and mild. It has a slightly velvety character and is an absolute rarity. Who would have expected coffee to flourish on the Australian continent? The Skybury coffee plantation is located in the Atherton Tablelands in northern Queensland. Contrary to expectations, the north-east of Australia is well suited for coffee cultivation, the climate is virtually ideal and natural pests hardly ever appear here. The Skybury plantation is located at an altitude of about 600 m above sea level, where this special Arabica of the Bourbon type grows. The bean is therefore small to medium in size and compact. Annual production is only around 150 tons per year.
