Boquete, probably the most famous coffee growing region of the country, is located in western Panama and is a beautiful valley, which lies below the volcano Baru. A river that combines various streams from surrounding mountains, volcanic soils, sufficient rain, a moderate climate and predictable dry phases create ideal conditions for the cultivation of excellent qualities. Since the late 18th century, the Ruiz family, in the third generation, has devoted itself to the cultivation of traditional coffee varieties and natural methods of cultivation adapted to the requirements of the environment. What began as a single farm in Boquete has now developed into a large family-run company, expanding its business model to include large-scale agricultural production, its own roasting plant and its own marketing channels for end products. In addition to the Ruiz family fincas, over 300 small farmers work with Casa Ruiz to process and market their coffees. This coffee has a medium acidity, a medium body, slightly sweet, floral, balanced and harmonious.
