The small Finca Santa Catarina in the south of Mexico produces about 500 bags of this Maragogype coffee a year. Walter Plettner and his 30 employees produce biologically and socially sustainable (double minimum wage, medical care, etc.) The result is a top coffee with soft fullness, fine aromas and an elegant finish. The Maragogype bean is two to three times larger than conventional sieves and an absolute speciality. Because of its particularly large, soft and elongated bean, this coffee has a fine, mild aroma and is nevertheless slightly rich in content. This variety can be brewed with a hand filter or a coffee machine. But it also tastes magically prepared in a stamp jug. In small quantities and gently roasted, our coffees are particularly aromatic and very well tolerated. The colour, taste and caffeine content can vary due to craftsmanship and raw materials.
